Nomad: Countries Tracker for iOS
Your privacy matters to us. Your travel data is stored on your device and remains under your control.
Data the App Uses (stored on your device only)
Nomad: Countries Tracker works with the minimum data necessary to function, and stores it on your device:
- Location Data: Used solely to identify which country you are currently in. We use iOS location services to detect country changes.
- Travel History: Records of countries visited and dates, stored locally on your device.
How We Use Your Data
- To automatically detect and record the countries you visit
- To display your travel history on the calendar and map
- To calculate travel statistics and analytics
Data Storage
- All data is stored locally on your device
- We do not use cloud servers or external databases
- Your data is not synced to any external service
- You can delete all data at any time from within the app
Data Sharing
As of the date of this policy:
- The app does not transmit your data to us or to third parties
- The app does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs
- The only way data leaves the app is a CSV export that you initiate yourself
To turn coordinates into a country name and to draw the map, the app uses Apple's system services (CoreLocation geocoding and MapKit). Those requests are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy; the app itself has no server and sends your data nowhere else.
Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- Access all your data directly in the app
- Delete your travel history at any time
- Revoke location permissions in iOS Settings
- Uninstall the app to remove all data
Location Permissions
Nomad: Countries Tracker requests "Always" location permission to track countries even when the app is in the background. This enables:
- Automatic country detection while traveling
- Recording visits without needing to open the app
You can change location permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Children's Privacy
Nomad: Countries Tracker does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app is designed for general audiences.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
