Nomad: Countries Tracker for iOS
To automatically track countries while you travel, the app needs to monitor your location in the background. This allows it to record when you enter a new country, even when the app isn't open. You can always change this to "While Using" in iOS Settings, but automatic tracking will be limited.
Nomad: Countries Tracker uses iOS's efficient "significant location changes" feature, which only triggers when you travel significant distances (like crossing country borders). This has minimal impact on battery life.
Your travel history is stored locally on your device, and you stay in control: view everything in the app, export it to CSV, or delete it at any time. For details, see the Privacy Policy.
You can delete your travel history from the Settings tab in the app. To remove all data completely, simply uninstall the app from your device.
Yes! Tap the + button on the Analytics tab to add past trips manually. You can select any country and date range.
Make sure location permissions are set to "Always" and background tracking is enabled in Settings. The app records countries when it detects a significant location change, which may take a few hours after crossing a border.
Setting your home country helps distinguish between domestic and international travel in your statistics. Days in your home country won't be counted as "days abroad."
On the Visas tab, add a visa with its issuing country, validity dates and (optionally) the allowed days of stay — for example "90 days within the period". The progress bar fills from the days the app has actually recorded you in that country, and you get local notifications before the visa expires or your day allowance runs low. Visa data stays on your device like everything else.
Yes. Settings → Export Data (CSV) shares your complete travel history as a CSV file — every recorded day with country, coordinates and whether it was added manually.
