Helsee reads the Apple Health data you allow and turns it into files you own. It runs on your device. The developer receives none of your Health data and none of your journal.
Health data leaves your device only as an export you start yourself, to the place you choose.
With your permission, Helsee reads the Health data types you select — for example nutrition, cycle tracking, sleep, heart rate and state of mind. You grant and withdraw access per type in the Health settings of iOS.
Helsee uses Health data only to create the exports you ask for and to show insights on this device. It does not write to Health. Health data is not used for advertising or marketing, is not sold, and is not shared with the developer or any third party.
Helsee keeps no copy of your Health data between uses: each export is read fresh from Health, and the staged copy of an export is deleted as soon as you have saved or shared it.
Insights are computed on this device with ordinary statistics (correlations). Helsee uses no artificial-intelligence or machine-learning service, and sends your data to none. If you choose to give an export to an AI assistant yourself, that assistant’s own terms apply.
The entries you write in the Helsee journal — mood, energy, symptoms, foods, events and notes — are stored on this device in Helsee’s own storage. They are not synced to iCloud by Helsee and are not sent to the developer.
Settings › Erase Journal removes them. Deleting the app removes them too.
An export is a set of files that you save or share yourself: to Files, to a storage service such as iCloud Drive or Google Drive, to an email, or to another app. If you set up a sync folder, Helsee refreshes the files in the folder you picked, including in the background when Health changes.
Once files leave Helsee, they are handled by the service or app you sent them to, under its own privacy policy. Choose destinations you trust: these files contain your health information.
Your export choices and display preferences are saved on this device. Sample Data mode shows a made-up person generated on the device; it does not read or change your data.
Helsee writes to the system log through Apple’s unified logging, which stays on your device unless you deliberately capture and share a sysdiagnose. Health values are never written to the log.
Helsee contains no third-party software development kits and makes no network requests of its own.
Apple provides the App Store and TestFlight and independently collects the information described in Apple’s own privacy policy — for example, whether the app was downloaded or crashed. The developer receives only aggregate figures.
Helsee is not directed at children under 13 and is not designed to collect information from them.
Because Helsee holds your information only on your own device, requests to access, correct or erase it are satisfied by using the app and iOS: export it, erase the journal, withdraw Health access, or delete the app.
